Our Studio

At Pointe Ahead Pilates we offer a mix of traditional Matwork, Reformer or Tower classes or an open studio with access to all the various equipment (Cadillac, Reformer, Chair, Barrels). No matter your ability our team are here to help you to become the version of yourself you want to be.

Pilates is a highly versatile form of exercise, Pointe Ahead Pilates recognises this and embraces it. When every person who walks through our doors is unique, why offer classes that are anything else? Pilates is used by dancers, athletes, and celebrities like Adele, Meghan Markle and Chris Hemsworth. It is also used for rehabilitation and all ages and abilities.

Pilates focuses on developing long, lean muscles through control, flexibility and core strength. By making you more aware of your body, Pilates can become an invaluable component of any workout regimen. Whether you are looking to build strength, lose weight, increase flexibility, or seeking rehabilitation after an injury we’re here to help.

Reformer Classes

Reformer Classes

The thing that really sets Pointe Ahead Pilates apart is our equipment. While the Reformer might look scary, it has proven benefits for increasing strength and endurance. As well as improving posture, balance and flexibility this form of resistance exercise makes it the best friend of anyone seeking to take control of their fitness.

Tower Classes

The Tower is similar to the Reformer as it uses springs to provide resistance and support. The stable mat makes it less daunting and is a great launch pad to some of the more advance exercises on other pieces of equipment. This is great for rehabilitation as the smaller movements can easily be controlled and once you have the hang of it there are some fun variations to spice things up.

Online Mat work

Our traditional Mat classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. If you are unsure of your level don’t worry, our teachers will safely guide you through the exercises whilst you build in confidence. All classes are currently online via Zoom so that you can workout from the comfort of your home.

Online Barre Class

Created from ballet-inspired moves, Barre classes focus on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability. Driven by music this a very functional way of training and it can increase coordination, motivation and movement quality whilst having a lot of fun! All you need is a chair and a light weight such as a couple of water bottles or cans of beans.

"I’ve been working out with Rachel for 5 years and gone from not being able to run for a bus to running a half marathon. Her excellent care, dedication and brilliance has allowed this to happen. She has got me through my first pregnancy with no divarication of the rectus muscles and no pelvic floor issues and will forever be remembered as the person who yells “abdominals” in my head when I lift my daughter."
