Here is a variation of the Bridge on the Tower...

Here is a variation of the Bridge on the Tower... The Springs on the Push Thru Bar allow the body to stabilise whilst working every muscle in the body. Rachel has had two back operations and this is a great way to control the spinal extension in a safe way.

We currently use the Tower with our private clients which uses the springs to provide resistance but with a stable mat (rather than the reformer which has a moving carriage). Whether you are looking for rehabiliation or specific training requirements then don't hesitate to get in contact to see if we can help.

The Pilates Reformer is a wonderfully versatile piece of equipment. Many of the exercises can start simply and progress to cater for each client.

Laura (@lollyisobella)here is demonstrating the Shoulder Bridge and some of the progressions. This is a fantastic way to mobilise and articulate the spine whilst using the abdominals to stabilise the pelvis. The posterior chain is challenged and the coordination of the full exercise gets the brain working too! What's not to love?! 😉

Happy Teaser Tuesday! ☺️

The Teaser is a classic Pilates exercise that requires strength and control to maintain a smooth movement throughout. Using the Tower, the assistance of the springs from above allows you to feel the connections of the body. This is a great way to practice before to perfect the movement on the mat.

The Pilates Reformer is a fantastic way of getting a full body workout, working on control, strength and flexibility. The versatility is much greater than working on the mat and is suitable of all abilities.

We run group Reformer classes at the studio, accommodating 3 people (this is fully socially distanced with 2m between each maching), which enables you to be taught by our fully qualified teachers in a safe environment.

Everyone was socially distanced and plenty of natural air flow into the studio. Hopefully it won’t take long to adapt to this new way teaching.

It’s great to be back teaching face to face at the studio! The equipment can help so much more than the mat at times!

This was @my_little_loves_4 first time using the roll down bar on The Tower... She suffers from back pain and doing this exercise she felt so much more in control and connected whilst stretching everything out.
